A Matternet drone operating in Swiss Post's medical logistics network, carrying clinical laboratory specimens, crashed into Lake Zurich after a short circuit interrupted power to its GPS; the emergency parachute deployed and the drone was recovered by police divers. This was an earlier incident in the same program, preceding a May 2019 parachute-failure crash near a children's playground that led to suspension of operations.
