An unoccupied Zoox driverless robotaxi anticipated an approaching car would keep moving forward, slowed and veered right, but the car stopped and yielded instead; despite hard braking the Zoox vehicle made contact. No injuries; minor damage to both vehicles. Zoox traced the cause to a software flaw and issued a voluntary recall covering 270 vehicles.
