Katalyst's LINK spacecraft, launched July 3, 2026 to attempt an in-orbit rescue/reboost of NASA's Swift gamma-ray observatory, lost attitude control on July 25 after two of its three reaction wheels failed and its cold-gas thruster system degraded, causing uncontrolled multi-axis tumbling and a communications/bus reset; on August 19 Katalyst announced it was abandoning the planned capture-and-boost maneuver, downgrading the mission to rendezvous/proximity-ops testing only.
