Antonio Gaston, 53, a Stellantis Toledo Jeep assembly worker, was crushed and killed on Aug 21, 2024 after being caught by a conveyor system supplied by Dearborn Mid-West Company that lacked adequate pinch-point protection. OSHA investigated and issued a 'serious' violation for insufficient machine guarding, initially fining Stellantis about $16,000 (settled to about $11,000).
